JWF grants have made a sustainable difference in the lives of women and girls. Some of the innovative and impactful programs we have supported include:


Small Grants (fall cycle; up to $1,000)

  • GlassRoots: Glass STEM Day for Girls

  • Sister to Sister: College Advocacy Program

  • National Council of Jewish Women: Essex County One Billion Rising for Justice V-day Valentine’s Day outreach raising awareness of violence against women


Large Grants (spring cycle; maximum of $25,000)

  • Community HOPE: Emergency Housing Fund for New Jersey’s Female Veterans

  • Rutgers University School of Nursing: Empowering Daughters and Mothers through Social Media: Newark-based program

  • Jewish Educational Center’s Bruriah H.S. for Girls: Improving Science Education for Girls. Funding professional development programs for science teachers to maximize upgraded facilities and equipment


Israel Grant (anonymous donor; one $10,000 grant to an Israeli-based organization)

  • Ruach Nashit: Financial Independence for Women Victims of Violence
    Program for victims of violence living in a homeless shelter in Haifa

  • Bat Kol: Therapy Groups for Religious Lesbians
    Equipping members with tools to navigate between their identities as religious Jews and gay women
